What is CMMC?

The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is a requirement proposed by the Department of Defense (DoD) to ensure that all Defense Industrial Base (DIB) contractors follow strict cybersecurity protocols.

Why CMMC?

CMMC is a significant step toward enhancing the cybersecurity posture of defense contractors. It will help ensure that sensitive defense information is protected from cyber threats and ultimately contribute to the security of the United States.

Who is Impacted by CMMC?

The CMMC framework is designed to assess and enhance the cybersecurity posture of all contractors, including small, medium, and large businesses, both primes and subs, involved in the defense supply chain.

When will CMMC Become Law?

The Department of Defense (DoD) introduced the Interim Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) rule as a mandatory cybersecurity framework in 2017. The CMMC will be implemented in phases once the final rule, which is nearing completion, is finalized. The final rule will mandate that contractors be certified under CMMC before bidding on contracts. Failure to do so could come with significant consequences. Is your company prepared for CMMC?
